About this work

Description

A native of North America but closely related to the European Veratrum album. A plant genus of the family liliaceae with roots that contain veratrum alkaloids used as emetics, parasiticides, and antihypertensives. It is the main ingredient of Boicil. Also used in homeopathic remedies.
