Correspondence between Alan Williams and organisers of various conferences and seminars that he attended both as a guest speaker and as an audience member such as Academie des Sciences, the British Society for Cell Biology and the International Conference on Biological Membranes. Material includes correspondence, booklets, leaflets, agenda and other paperwork relating to the conferences. The title has been taken from the original file label.

Alan Williams kept his loose papers in labelled suspension files in a filing cabinet. These files were lost before cataloguing commenced but some file labels remained. Where possible, the papers have been sorted into those subjects and where not, they have been sorted by the cataloguer.
