"This is a comic about death. It's not a sad comic, in fact, it's a happy one. This comic was born because I talk to my mum about death. We talk about it because it helps us to understand. I started to wonder how I would want my child to understand death, what I would want them to know. Then I wrote 'Before we were alive'."-- From back cover.
