Detail of the reverse-view of the iron hand of Clephane complete with arm piece. The prosthesis is also known as the Hand of Carslogie, a 16th century iron prosthetic hand formerly in the posession of the family Clephane of Carslogie. The photographs were taken at Compton Wynyates, near Banbury, at the estate of the Marquess of Northampton in June 1931.
