Lettering

Francischus Veronense Lettering, often indistinct, is incorporated into the print. "Suscepimu...", "Abolym..." are the only letters that are readily legible Engraved lettering below an impression of the same design in the British Museum: "Fac simile of a capital initial of the presentation in the Temple. Drawn & engraved by G.R. Lewis, from the missal executed by Francesco Veronesi & Giralomo dei Libri about the year 1480 (Now in the possession of William Esdaile Esq.re of Clapham Common). Published Dec.r 1817 by G.R. Lewis 29 Duke Street St James's. See Dibdin's Bibliographical Decameron vol 1 page CXLII"
