A compilation of programmes in favour of animal research for medical purposes. Video no. 12: Part 1 - 'Environmental Enrichment: Advancing Animal Care' - this programme looks at basic animal needs and describes what happens if their behavioural needs aren't met. It offers advice on how to treat captive animals. Part 2 - 'Environmental Enrichment: Examples of enrichment' - This part shows how an animals captive environment can be made more natural for them. Video no. 13: 'William Harvey and the Circulation of the Blood' - shows the life and work of master physician William Harvey. Video no. 14: 'Alternatives to Animal Experiments' - this programme looks at what other tests could be used in order to spare animals from testing. People ethically opposed to vivisection give their views and the reasons behind their views. Eye sensitivity tests on rabbits are shown and an alternative test, the BECAM test, is shown. Various tests on animals are shown, including surgery on a monkey to remove its kidneys.
