Description

Photomacrograph of an orange segment. Oranges are citrus fruits from the Citrus sinensis tree, one of the most commonly grown citrus trees in the world. They have high levels of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and also contain other nutrients and minerals. Both the juice and the zest are used in cooking to flavour and enhance the taste of food and drink, and to make some medicines. Width of image is 1.5 cm.
