Interleaved; with many additions, corrections, and notes by the author, and numerous inserted illustrations, cuttings, etc.

Inserted loose at the end of the second volume is an "Index alphabétique des noms des villes, cités dans L'Art profane à l'Église, France et Étranger" (22 ff. 8vo. 21½ x 13½ cm.). This is written on the rectos only, and by a different hand. Inserted loose between p. 174 and 175 of Vol. 1 are holograph notes on a picture by Gustave Berault of Argenteuil, undated (2 pp.).

In Vol. II there are two inserted A.l.s. addressed to the author by Lucien Nass and Paul Nourry.
