It will be seen by the foregoing figures, that over 67 per cent, of the male attendants have been in the service more than five years, whilst 53 per cent, have been in the service for periods above ten years. Of the female attendants nearly 41 per cent, count above five years’ service, whilst 29 per cent, count above ten years. Leave of absence for the day is granted every ninth day ; and, in addition, every attendant has a holiday of ten days annually.
