    Treatment.—This must be similar to that recommended (pages 69, et seqq.) for osteo-arthritis of the joints of the extremities. Should yielding and forward curvature show a tendency to inci'ease to a serious degree in the cervical region, so that the head droops towards the sternum— instrumental support should be employed, and the patient should, when not taking exercise, be kept in a reclining attitude with the head thrown backwards and well sup- ported.
