Description

Letters from various correspondents, mainly while Ambassador at Constantinople during the Crimean War. Correspondents include Joseph Wolff, Arthur Penrhyn Stanley (Dean of Westminster Abbey), the Duke of Cambridge, Sir John Fox Burgoyne, Sir George De Lacy Evans, Lord Raglan, Sir Harry Verney and Florence Nightingale. A few items are addressed to Lord Stratford de Redcliffe's wife and daughter.
