Notes
Title from cover.
"'Sick Fucks': A series of text from people at the intersection of several kinds of marginalisation: Those of us who are disabled, queer, kinky, sex workers, survivors: people who the system says are 'sick', 'fucked up', 'damaged'. Yet many of us are resisting, resilient, much political action (of all kinds) comes from the power of survival. Sick Fucks is a slow process of assembling, it comes from my own experience of surviving in these brutal years of austerity. I began to think of how to speak about the criminalising of the poor and how power functions through stigma. To go against the idea I had failed, if I wasn't able to function well in a system that was actively working against me. This is a beginning, Sick Fucks will have many forms: performances, a web-portal, a print run, discussion groups, workshops, community readings. It is a method of action. The texts are presented in the order they were written."--Provided by zinester.
