Description
The second in a four-part series in which Katie Piper, a model who had acid thrown in her face, is setting up a charity for people living with facial and other disfigurements, the Katie Piper Foundation. She meets a 16-year-old boy, Will, who suffered 40% burns at a family barbecue. The camera follows his rehabilitation in hospital and his struggle to get back to normal when he returns home. Katie offers him advice which will probably change his life. We also meet 24-year-old Emily, who suffered 70% burns in a house fire when she was just seven and warns Katie that life with scars is not as easy as she may think. Since graduating with a law degree, Emily has been unable to get a job, despite hundreds of applications, and believes that people's inability to get past her disfigurement is a major issue.
