    be a very uncommon circumstance, it had perhaps never occurred before, but he had seen it and was persuaded of its reality. On enquiry I found that, about eighteen years before, he had been attacked with insanity in London, and had walked to his parish in the neighbourhood of Brentford : the parish offi¬ cers, perceiving his condition, had confined him during some months in the workhouse, where he continued in a very violent state.
