Advertising leaflet including an 1881 testimonial. Dr. Scott's electric flesh brush was "permanently charged with an "electric" force, which produces remarkable cures ... it keeps the skin healthy, improves the complexion, and imparts vigour and energy to the whole body." It was recommended for indigestion, constipation, menstruation disorders ("backaches peculiar to ladies") rheumatism, sciatica, gout, nervous debility, lumbago, neuralgia, toothache, malarial lameness, aches and pains.
