About this work

Description

The first in a new Horizon trilogy of documentarys on the nation's weight and health. Born To Be Fat discusses new scientific research which has established a link between obesity and the absence from the body of a hormone called leptin. It points to a faulty hypothalamus (region of the brain) as another possible cause of obesity. This program poses the question: "Could it be true that for genetic reasons some people really are born to be fat?"
