Description

Woodblock illustration from Maijing tuzhu (Canon of the Pulse, illustrated and annotated), author unknown, published in 1901 (27th year of the Guangxu reign period of the Qing dynasty). It shows the locations and names of various bones and articulations of the front of the body, e.g. the 'chimney' (cong), the forehead (elu), the cheekbones (quan), the chin (ke), the jaw (han), the front of the shoulder (yu), the 'broken basin' (quepen), etc.
