About this work

Description

Discursus et consilia.

A leaf of the Index at the beginning is wanting: the lower margins of the MS. are water-stained throughout, causing loss of text on the first two leaves.

The volume consists of a student's notes of clinical lectures and 'Consilia', mostly under the name of Montanus.

On fol. 13v [Franciscus] Frigimelica [1491-1559] is mentioned, while other cases are assigned to an anonymous 'Magister'. These notes were most probably taken down at the Hospital of St. Francesco at Padua, where both Montanus and Frigimelica gave clinical lectures.

The foliation is original 1-38, and this MS. at the time of writing formed part of a larger volume of student's notes by different hands. These included the two volumes of Frigimelica's lectures, which contain ff. 39-89, and ff. 98-130 [cf. MSS. 281, 282], the second of these is dated Padua 1537.

Produced in Padua.
