Jn a variety of in fiances I have with thefe wonder-working indruments brought down tumefa6tions, and com¬ pletely relieved pain when very intenfe. Here are one or two cafes. Case.—Gout. *l On the 7th of January lad, I applied the T a&ors to a man, who had, for feveral days, been feverely afflicted with the Gout m his foot. Jn the fpace of twenty minutes, he told me that the burning heat which he had experienced was gone, and thar lie felt a mod agreeable warmth. In a fhorttime after this, he affirmed that the pain alfo was perfeftly relieved. 1 have this day received a note from him, in which he informs me that a complete cure wfas effected, and that, he has experienced n /jrturh.
