About this work

Description

Two young women are cheerfully transporting some farming materials. Behind them, a female doctor is explaining to some farmers who are having a rest how beneficial family planning is. In the background, other farmers are energetically and competitively working on spring ploughing. To improve agricultural performance, Chairman Mao in the 1960s sent out the message nationwide "In agriculture, learn from Dazhai"("Nong ye xue Dazhai"): Dazhai is a village community in Shanxi Province which was held up as an agricultural example
