Description

Two figures: on the left Daikoku (Daikokuten), carrying a bale; on the right the god Ebisu, with goods carried on a horse including a large bream. They are the two of the Seven Gods of Fortune (Seven Lucky Gods) in Japan. Daikoku is the god of wealth, commerce and trade, often shown with rice bales. Ebisu is the god of fishermen or merchants, often carrying a sea bream. Ebisu and Daikoku are often depicted together, as here
