    The Editoi’ has been desirous of making the first volume of the Examiner a record of the Medical Institutions of the United Kingdom, for 1850, and as the subjoined Appendix contains much information relating to the politics of the Profession, he makes no apology for adding it to the volume. It must he borne in mind, that the Examination would not have been published if it had been fairly conducted, and that the chief motive was the belief that the publication at this political crisis would effect some good. The Reader is especially referred to Appendix 2, pages 9, 10, 23, 35; and to a Letter in the Lancet, March 24th, 1S49.— Medical Times, March 17th, 1849.
