Description
Letter from Macdonald inquiring into Galton's eugenics research fellowship. Macdonald informs Galton that if the fellowship is to be decided by an essay competition he will enter with an essay on national eugenics. The letter describes Macdonald's medical work, and his theory that moral senses are affected by the disease known as Ankylostomiasis [hookworm].
Attached to the letter is a note from Galton to Edgar Schuster, asking him to answer the letter however he sees fit.
