There are ten Registered or Licensed Slaughterhouses in the Borough. One Registered Slaughterhouse has not been used as such for over two years. Denbigh is the Cattle Market Town for a large area. The County Veterinary Inspector is in regular attendance for the purposes of the Diseases of Animals Acts. Generally speaking, very few specimens of diseased meat are to be found during in- spections of Slaughterhouses. With so many Slaughterhouses it is impossible to inspect every animal at the time of slaughter. Most of the Butchers slaughter at the same time.
