Private journal H.M.S. North Star, Arctic Expedition in search of Franklin. Author's holograph MS. The journal begins on 21 April, 1852 when the expedition started, and ends with the author's last sight of the coast of Greenland on 21 September, 1853 from the deck of H.M.S. Phoenix.
