The fetal heart monitor was designed by Ian Anderson to provide an equivalent trace to that from trolley sized hospital equipment. It took audio from the headphone socket of a hand held Doppler already in use at the time for home visits and produced a printout from a lightweight unit based around a till roll printer. This is a test tape captured to test the equipment and was taken at the donor's home.
