    in order to carry off the Bark, as well as promote his Care $ but finding he had had three loofe Stools fince his Bleeding, I omitted it; he found himfelf already better, and was extremely refrefhed by the Lemonade. In the Evening the Symp¬ toms were very much abated; indeed ah* moil: gone; his Pulfe was ftronger, and but little quick, and his Urine of a good citrine Colour; his Tongue was moift, but towards the Root was grown as black as if tinged with Ink; he was very little thirfty. Having had but another Stool fince Morning, I fent him two laxative Draughts, with %iij EleB. Lenitiv. y. Crem... *1 art. in each, one to be taken going to reft, and the other fix Hours after, if no Stools fhould be had before. I alfo left an Anodyne Draught with twenty Drops Laud. Liq. Syd. in it, with Di¬ rections, to give it at any Time, if he fhould have three or four Stools, and be ruffled by them. He had a quiet Night, and about four Hours good Sleep in all. The 30th, in the Morning, he was very compos'd, and with no urgent Symptoms upon him. His Pulfe, Tongue, and U- rine were, as the Night before ; he had taken both the Draughts, but had yet no Stool; I therefore gave him another. He complained of being deaf, and of H 2 a
