Lettering

J. Xavier Chabert, A.M. M.D. &a. &a. One of the most celebrated chemists, philosophers, and physicians of the present day. ... Lettering continues: "The extraordinary and uniform success which attended his skillful treatment of the cholera during its prevalence in the City of New York in 1832 and 1834, as well as the great benevolence he manifested towards the poor, entitle him to a place among the benefactors of mankind. Nor have his fellow citizens been indifferent or ungrateful towards him, as is proved by the high honours he has received from various incorporated colleges and societies throughout the United States; and the grateful benedictions of the countless numbers whom he has saved from an untimely grave."
