Description
1. "Magician's cave 2", with toothed wheel for rotation: monstrous visions revealed one by one as wheel is turned. Bears paper label of W.C. Hughes, 82 Mortimer Road, Kingsland, London N. 2. Sailing ship at sea, inscribed indistinctly with name of ship. Mount bears stamp "B & S patent", i.e. J. Barnard & Son. 3. Sailing ship on fire at sea. Mount bears stamp "Newton & Co., opticians, Fleet St. London". 4. Kaleidoscope. Mount incomplete. Toothed wheel for rotation present, contained within brass ring. 5. Kaleidoscope. Toothed wheel for rotation present, contained within brass ring. With three rotation handles presumably for rotating slides in this package (not tried). Fragment of mount of Carpenter & Westley.
