Description

Black and white reproduction of a photograph of the ruined round tower on one of the corners of the Castle of Chinchón, Spain. Described as one of the "four photographs of the Castle of Chinchon" in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The photograph was lent by the Bureau Tot Bevordering van Het Kinine-Gebruik [Bureau for the promotion of quinine use], Amsterdam and is listed as exhibit no. 30 in the souvenir catalogue.
