Description

Civil defence papers, articles, reports, press cuttings and correspondence, mostly regarding the revision of a Government circular on civil defence planning in the NHS, as well as papers concerning nuclear accidents and the transportation of nuclear waste. Papers also concern Nuclear Free Zones, accidents at civil nuclear installations, transportation of nuclear waste, BMA reports, and other matters of concern to the Civil Defence Working Group.

Papers and reports include a report from the South Western Regional Health Authority Emergency Stockpiles Working Party, 1984; a paper commissioned by the Nuclear Free Zone Authorities Steering Committee, "Civil Defence and Health Care", by Martin Dace, 1987; a GLC contingency plan for the transportation of rail of irradiated fuel, 1986 (Draft); London Nuclear Information Unit, "Civil Defence and Nuclear Accidents", 1986 (draft).
