The title has been taken from wording on the object.
The 'Waterfall' painting is one of a series of oil on board preparatory sketches, made 1992 or 1993, towards a series of large 'waterfalls', one on each level overlooking the atrium of the then-new Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Ownership note

Gift from the artist to the Manchester Metropolitan University Arts for Health archive. Acquired by Wellcome Collection as part of the archive in 2015.
