A reproduction of a photograph of two shaft crosses. One from Ramsbury, Wiltshire, England and one is a fragment from Shaftesbury Abbey, Dorset, England. A shaft cross is a specific type of Latin or High cross, named after its method of construction. It is usually made from stone and has a more elaborate and usually higher form of the simple stone cross.
