About this work

Description

This short film follows the life of a middle-aged man who is affected by loud environmental noises. It shows him being disturbed during the night by his neighbours, and the common emotional and physical reactions this type of persistant noise evokes. The film often moves into a dreamscape, displaying metaphorical depictions of what the noise sounds like to the man. He eventually begins to confront the neighbours, and four potential, realistic outcomes to his complaint are shown, including one involving a visit from two noise officers, who measure the noise levels in the flat and approach the neighbours with the results.
