    Richard Saumarez to he such Committee. Saith, That he is the better able to depose to the facts above stated, because this deponent has been consulted by the said Richard Saumarez, on/ the unfortunate situation of the said lunatic, and his brother Frederick Walshman Saumarez, also a lunatic, and the properl medical treatment which ought to be adopted with reference to\ their cases, and on all such occasions, the said Richard Saumarez \ displayed great feeling and judgment, and great anxiety that the ) mode of treatment to be adopted should be in accordance with the opinion of professional men of the first eminence. <C Sworn at the Public Office, South¬ ey ampton Buildings, Chancery Lane, London, this 16th day of April, 1835. Before me, W. J. Adam. William Blizard. Thomas Walshman, of Kennington, M.D., saith, That he hath, from his infancy, been well and intimately acquainted with Richard Saumarez, Knight of the Imperial Order of Leopold of Austria, and a Captain in the Royal Navy, now of the age of 43 years or thereabouts, and who is the eldest and only rational brother of the said lunatic, and with all the family of the said lunatic, is also intimate. Saith, That he knows the said RichafdTA Saumarez to be an honourable, humane, kindhearted, and gene- ( rous person, and affectionately anxious for his brother’s welfare, l and believes him to be, in all respects, well calculated to be the \ committee of the person and estate of the said lunatic, and in the judgment and opinion of deponent, the comfort and proper treat- ^ ment of the said lunatic will be secured by the appointment of the said Richard Saumarez to be such Committee. Saith, That f he is the better able to depose to the facts above stated, because ( this deponent has been repeatedly consulted by the said Richard Saumarez on the unfortunate situation of the said lunatic, and the proper medical treatment which ought to be adopted with reference to his case, and on all such occasions, the said Richard \ Saumarez displayed great feeling and judgment, and great anxiety that the mode of treatment to be adopted, should be in f accordance with the opinions of professional men of the first j eminence.
