After: a painting by Ary Scheffer of 1824 in the Dordrechts Museum (reproduced in Elisabeth A.Fraser, Delacroix, art and patrimony, Cambridge 2004, p. 67). That picture is said to be 39 x 30 cm., i.e. smaller than the present print: possibly the print is after a larger version?
