Pilot Study 1 was established to test the practicability of the Research Forms A, Bx and By and the interview procedures with a small number of Company Chairmen who have indicated willingness to be involved. Pilot Study 2 involved testing Research Forms A and B, modified in necessary following the first pilot study. The aim was to test their use over a rage of different functions, levels within management, years of service and career patterns.
