Make me normal.

This documentary presents an intimate portrait of relatively high-achieving children with autism at Spa School in Bermondsey, one of the biggest state schools for autism in Britain. We meet Roxanne who longs to have a friend but her aggressive and inappropriate behaviour preculdes this, Moneer who has Asperger Syndrome and is dealing with the death of his mother, Esther who is a loner and Roy who is completely obsessed with Eastenders. What the film gets across most powerfully perhaps is the sense of how differently autism affects each child, revealing layers of complexity to the condition not usually shown.
