About this work
Description
The last in a three-part series in which Dr Alice Roberts attempts to look back at the evolution of our bodies. This part focuses on the evolution of the human mind. Looking at early fossilised bones from ourfamily tree, Roberts shows how our brains have almost quadrupled in size and attempts to answer why. Problems of childbirth, due to such large-brained children are also covered. And why did the neanderthals die out given that their brain size was about the same size as ours?
