A case to consider.

This is a video about epilepsy in children. The video is about the benefits of the drug Lamotrigine. St Piers school, Lingfield, a specialist school for children with epilepsy, is visited. Dr Frank Besag, the Medical Director describes the school's experience of prescribing the drug since 1990. Next the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh is visited. Dr Robert Minns comments on the problem of 'intractable' patients who are having a number of seizures despite drug treatment; he reports improvement on these cases where Lamotrigine has been used. Dr F Kirkham comments on her experience of clinical trials. A final clinical test group was at the John Radcliffe, Oxford and Dr A. McShane comments.
