About this work

Description

Card (possibly late 1910s and for use as a postcard) showing a miniature house surrounded by mature trees. John Lester's "Midgets" are to be seen lounging on a stage in front of the house and on a first floor balcony. Signs on the wall say: "Cette construction coute 10,000 dollars" and "La maison miniature dans les plus petits détails". The card would probably have been sold as a souvenir where they were exhibited as part of a freak or variety show.
