Description

Molecular model of the inhibitor 5'-diphospoadenosine phosphate bound to Ribonuclease A (RNAse A). This pancreatic enzyme catalyses the cleavage of RNA molecules on the 3' side of pyrimidines but this action is prevented when the inhibitor is bound. Inhibitors such as this may prove useful in developing drugs that could block unwanted effects of clinically important RNAses.
