Libro di ricette medicinali. Author's holograph MS. On the cover a pen-drawn coat of arms of the writer. Inside the cover notes of his personal affairs beginning 'Questo libero sie di Mº. gasparo barbiro e ceroicho che fu fiolo di mº antonio ceroicho da Legnago di chagalii habito in la contra di S. Zen...e questo libro fu scritto adi 15 agosto 1529...' The book contains a number of receipts, descriptions of diseases and remedies, and is illustrated by several small marginal pen-drawings of diseased organs, instruments, etc. Inside the lower cover two drawings of distilling apparatus. The work is written in the Verona dialect. Ef. 24v-32 contain a Latin-Italian list of the names of herbs. On the verso of the last leaf is a note of the birth and baptism, in 1530 at Verona, of the Author's son 'Zuan Antonio'. In the inscription inside the upper cover, the birth of a daughter 'Chatalina' on 14 November 1527 is mentioned. Produced in Verona.
