Notes

Given away free to subscribers to the first two fascicules of the Journal des ancdotes, to accompany an article by Théodoré Perrin ('La Morgue', Journal des anecdotes anciennes, modernes et contemporaines, 1833, tom. 1, livraison 1, p. 24-26 and livr. 2 (?), pp. 53-54). After the first two fascicules, the publishers intended to give two lithographs per volume to those who subscribed an additional 25 centimes for each of the two lithographs. However it does not appear that the journal continued to be published after the first volume
