    CASE III. A Man, who received a violent Wound by a Cutlafs, from a Street-Robber in Smith field, had three of his Fingers cut quite through the Bone, fo that they hung only by a Bit of Skin.—However ftrange this may ap¬ pear to fome of my Brethren, I declare it to be an abfolute Fact (as are all the Cafes here Bated) and are not Cafes taken from any Au¬ thor ; but are what happened under my own Infpedtion in the Plofpital. But, to return to the Point, I carefully replaced the Fingers in their original Situation, and, by the Affiftance of one of the Pupils, united them together with neat Strips of Sticking-plaifter, deiiring him to keep quite quiet, and to live upon a Bender Diet; placing his Hand in a Sling, and not opening them till the Expiration of three Weeks,
