Description
Reports of a buffalo fight at Semabok on Saturday last. Two manuscripts discussing a buffalo fight
related to padi planting ceremonies. Notes on the government file indicate that these two MSS were collected in response
to a request from Hervey dated 18 June 1890
Includes correspondence with members of the Malacca police office. A police report in Romanised Malay describes the nature of the buffalo fight,
how it was facilitated, and who was involved.
