Description

Watercolour drawing of the face of a woman in whom, as the result of the healing of syphilitic ulcers, there was complete destruction of the nose, with occlusion of the nostrils. The soft palate was almost entirely ulcerated away and there was extensive ulceration of the base of the skull and the back of the pharynx.
