About this work

Description

On the wall is a framed picture showing clysters and syringes, signed "Petit Colin scul." Bound books containing clysters bear on their spines the names of the poet and critic Boileau and Jean La Fontaine, author of moral fables. Other enemas are concealed within a model elephant and castle: the liquid is pumpd out through the elephant's trunk
