Description

1979: Two Wellcome Foundation news releases. The first release relates to the establishment of a foot-and-mouth disease vaccine manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, India: 'Wellcome know-how for Indian Foot-and-Mouth disease vaccine plant.' (3 December 1979). The second concerns the training of Engineers through a new 'Engineering Craft Training Centre' in Dartford: 'Wellcome invests in engineering training' (14 December 1979).

1980: Cuttings and promotional material from the Indian national press regarding the Wellcome Centenary Medical Symposium, 1980 held in the Taj Mahal Hotel, Bombay on 29th September. Includes programme for the conference and biographical notes for speakers.

1987-1988: Cuttings relating to the closing down of consumer products division of BW (India) Ltd, over alleged violation of Foreign Exchange regulations.
