About this work

Description

"Good Patient is part of a series of personal zines (perzines) I wrote during the first 8 months of using Naltrezone, practicing harm reuction and experiencing recovery and healing for my alcohol misuse, in 2020. This zine is mostly made out of various rants and reflections about the state of addiction support / stigma surrounding people who use drugs and alcohol, while others are made out of journal entries, or the experience of accessing NHS services. It's not a guide and doesn't really contains tips. It's not a sobriety or 12 steps zine. Although I hope to feel confident and stable enough to write more practical zines about harm reduction one day. I hope this zine will be good to you and that you'll get something out of reading it."--From page [1].
